Lesson Plans

All lessons are freely available in English (note: Greek, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish translations are planned or in progress) in Word format; for best results and formatting, please download the lesson(s) you prefer. The links below direct you to individual documents gathered by a central theme or topic; however, each lesson plan is a separate entity designed to support learning within a teacher’s curriculum on ancient and medieval civilizations. For each lesson plan, a supplementary PowerPoint with images helps make lessons ready-to-use. Lessons are aligned with Next Generation Science Standards, National Standards for History (published by the National Center for History in Schools), and Common Core State Standards where applicable.

After students are introduced to the lesson, Corinth Excavations would be happy to meet your students in a Virtual Field Trip, Guest Speaker session, or Mystery Skype through Skype or Skype in the Classroom. Contact Corinth Excavations today to set up a special experience for your class!
