Computer Lab


The Computer Lab provides students with the technology resources needed for preparing assignments, conducting research and other academic related services.

The Lab is located in the basement of the Blegen Library, and is open to ASCSA members 7 days a week/ 24 hours a day. For troubleshooting and user support, the Computer lab IT support is available Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Equipment List

The Computer Lab is mainly PC oriented but there are Macintosh machines available too.

• Epson GT 15000 Flatbed A3 Scanner

• Other utilities and applications


Computer Lab Policies

• Food or beverages are not allowed in the lab at any time.
• Use of the lab is restricted to members only; no other organization or individual, whether public or private, may use the facilities.
• Disconnecting any cables from the computers in the Lab is not authorized.
  (In case you wish to attach an external monitor to your laptop, there is one available in the printer’s desk in the Lab)
• Making or using pirated copies of software is against the law. Random checks will be made for pirated software.
• Please keep conversations at a low level so that others may concentrate.
• Please do not try to fix malfunctioning equipment. Instead, inform an IT consultant of the problem you are experiencing.
• When finished working in the facility, please clear away all papers and other personal items.
• Do not bang on the computer keyboard; a light touch will prevent damage to the keyboard.
• Do not pull paper out of the printers.
• Game playing is not allowed at any time.
• The use of peripheral equipment, other than state-installed hardware, is strictly forbidden, as is tampering with the software settings.
• Library materials must be returned to the library; do not leave anything in the computer lab.

Anyone found abusing the equipment, violating these rules, or being discourteous to others in the facility will be asked to leave. Revocation of all user privileges may also result.
