Jim Wright arrived in Athens this summer to become its new director for a five-year term starting June 30th. A professor and chair of the Department of Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology at Bryn Mawr (a spawning ground for many notable ASCSA alumni), Professor Wright has had a long association with the American School. We were able to catch the new Director to ask a few questions just before the new school year.
Application for Senior Associate Membership
Those Eligible:
Independent and post-graduate scholars who wish to use the School’s facilities for their own research in Greece for a full academic year (September 1 to June 1).
The Program:
Senior Associate Members pursue independent research. Use of other facilities and participation in other activities can be offered only when space permits, and at the discretion of the Director.
Application:
Consists of an application form, a project description, and curriculum vitae.
