The site of Corinth is next to the village of Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos), about 5 minutes drive from the city of New Corinth (population 24,000). The archaeological site and museum are managed by the Greek Ministry of Culture and open to visitors all year round 8am-3pm with extended afternoon hours in the spring, summer, and fall. Above the main archaeological site towers the hill of Acrocorinth, topped by impressive fortification walls. The ASCSA manages a study center and hostel at the site which are open to visiting scholars by prior appointment.
