Anniversary Celebration

In celebration of the 130th Anniversary of the ASCSA (and also the 115th Anniversary of the Excavations of Ancient Corinth, the 85th Anniversary of the Gennadius Library,and the 80th Anniversary of the Excavations in the Athenian Agora), the ASCSA will honor four great Philhellenes — Lloyd E. Cotsen, David W. Packard, Malcolm H. Wiener, and Charles K. Williams, II, as well as Alan L. Boegehold, recipient of the Aristeia Award. The festivities start at 7 p.m. on June 4, 2011 in Cotsen Hall. The event will be followed by a cocktail reception in the Gennadeion gardens, and a preview of an exhibition on the history of the ASCSA Academic Program, It is better to know Greece than to know what has been written about Greece, in the Basil Room of the Gennadius Library.
