For scholars and others who would like permission to use or to publish ASCSA images, perpetual rights are now available in some instances. Perpetual rights grant nonexclusive worldwide use in all languages and editions, both print and electronic.
Fees may be assessed for permissions (for commercial publications) and for requests for digital images. Charges include a basic fulfillment fee for reproduction requests, image discovery, new photography and scanning, express orders (Agora and Corinth only), and documentaries/films. Click here to download the PDF list of fees for both commercial and non-commercial use.
Future plans for ASCSA permissions and reproduction requests include the deployment of an online request form that will allow users to pay (when applicable) with either a credit/debit card or via PayPal. Until then, the ASCSA will continue to accept payment in cash or by check or money order.
Any questions regarding the new, standardized permissions and fees can be addressed to the project manager, Andrew Reinhard, Director of Publications, at email@example.com.
