The Lithic Collection
This collection contains over 200 specimens of hand-samples and thin-sections. It has grown with the addition of thin-sections, hand-samples and a stable isotope database for Aegean marbles contributed by Dr. Norman Herz (University of Georgia); reference samples of oolitic limestone from Greek and Roman quarries at Corinth from the studies of Dr. Chris Hayward (University of Edinburgh); and marble samples from Mount Pentelikon, and quarry regions around the Peloponnese contributed by Dr. Scott Pike (Willamette University).
