BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

John G. Hawthorne taught Classics at Vassar College and the University of Chicago. He was a member of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens in 1957-1958 and in 1959-1960. He participated in the Isthmia and Kenchreai Excavations.
