Last Friday, 28 students and 3 teachers from the 4th High School of Alimos in Athens visited Blegen Library. We highlighted the history of the ASCSA and its mission and described how the library has evolved from a small reading room to what it is today.

During our discussion, we focused on online tools and resources that promote academic research, including classification systems and their purpose in a library. As the students will take the Panhellenic examinations next year, with many of them focusing on Classics, visiting the Blegen gave them a clear understanding of what an academic research library is like.

Who knows - in a few years, some may return as postgraduate students or PhD candidates!
