The 2015 – 2016 Academic Year Malcolm H. Wiener Laboratory Fellows Projects
The Malcolm H. Wiener Laboratory Committee awarded five new fellowships for the 2015- 2016 academic year. Dr. McNamee (Post-Doctoral Research Fellow) is on her second year of her project entitled: “Starches and Grains: Reconstructing Subsistence in Mainland Greece through the Bronze Age.” Dr. Maria Ntinou: Senior Fellow (Hellenic Open University, Greece) Project: “Firewood procurement and the natural vegetation in the Argolid from the Middle Palaeolithic to the Mesolithic. Wood charcoal analyses at Klissoura, Kephalari and Franchthi Caves.” Dr. Calla McNamee: Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (University of Calgary, Canada) Project: “Starches and Grains: Reconstructing Subsistence in Mainland Greece through the Bronze Age.” Ms. Petra Vaiglova: Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow (University of Oxford, UK) Project: “Understanding Aegean Neolithic farming through multiple isotopes.” Dr. Maria-Eleni Chovalopoulou: Research Associate (University of Athens, Greece) Project: “Application of the 3DGM method on Greek populations from different era.” Ms. Marta Lorenzon: the SARNITEC S.A. Research Associate (University of Edinburgh, UK) Project: “Geoarchaeological analysis of Monastiraki mudbrick architecture.” Ms. Vanessa Muros: Research Associate (University of Peloponnese, Greece and University of California, Los Angeles, USA) Project: “The technology and trade of LBA glass from Kefalonia.” We would like to wish them a productive year and looking forward to the results of their projects.
