Wiener Laboratory Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship, 2024-2027 

Research Topic: Environmental History, Foodways and Ritual Practices in the 1st millennium BCE Peloponnese

Dr Kyriaki Tsirtsi holds a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (2024–2027) at the M.H. Wiener Laboratory for Archaeological Science of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Her current project, ‘Environmental history, foodways, and ritual practices in the Peloponnese during the 1st millennium BCE’, focuses on the agricultural economies as well as the domestic and ritual activities developed by societies across the Peloponnese during this period. Kyriaki’s fieldwork experience is extensive, spanning Greece and Cyprus, and includes collaborations with universities and research institutes in Europe and the United States. She has also contributed as both main author and co-author to numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters focusing on the archaeobotanical research in Greece and Cyprus.
