Research Topic: Digitally Tracing the Biographies of Soft Stone Beads from the Prepalatial Cemetery of Koumasa

Tatiana is a Wiener Laboratory Postdoctoral Fellow. Her research focuses on Bronze Age Aegean glyptic technologies, human body representations, and the formation of social identities in prehistoric communities. She employs 3D digital documentation, computational analysis, and geometric morphometric approaches to the study of miniature objects. Her doctoral dissertation examined representations of the human body in Bronze Age Aegean seal imagery, combining archaeological theory and iconographic analysis with digital and computational methods. Her current project applies digital methodologies to investigate the manufacture, use, and depositional biographies of soft stone beads in Prepalatial funerary contexts.
