Πάει ο παλιός ο χρόνος… Ένας αποχαιρετισμός και μια νέα αρχή

Καθώς ένας ακόμη κύκλος υποτροφιών φτάνει στο τέλος του, αποχαιρετούμε με θερμές ευχές τους υποτρόφους του 2025–2026 και τους ευχαριστούμε για τη ζωντάνια και τη ευρυμάθεια που έφεραν στη Γεννάδειο Βιβλιοθήκη και σε ολόκληρη την κοινότητα της Αμερικανικής Σχολής. Η έρευνά τους, οι συζητήσεις και η καθημερινή τους παρουσία έκαναν τη φετινή χρονιά ιδιαίτερα δημιουργική και πνευματικά γόνιμη. Παράλληλα, καλωσορίζουμε με μεγάλη χαρά τη νέα ομάδα υποτρόφων για το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2026–2027. Τον επόμενο χρόνο θα μελετήσουν θέματα που καλύπτουν διαφορετικές περιόδους, αντικείμενα και επιστημονικά πεδία, συνεχίζοντας την παράδοση ανταλλαγής ιδεών και δημιουργικού διαλόγου που χαρακτηρίζει τη Γεννάδειο Βιβλιοθήκη.

Out with the Old, In with the New — A Farewell and a Welcome

As one fellowship year comes to a close, we bid a warm farewell to our 2025–2026 fellows and thank them for the energy, insight, and collegial spirit they brought to the Gennadius Library and the American School community. Their research, conversations, and presence helped make this year intellectually vibrant and deeply rewarding. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome our new cohort of fellows for 2026–2027. Over the coming year, they will pursue projects spanning a wide range of subjects, periods, and disciplines, continuing the rich tradition of exchange of ideas and creative intellectual dialogue that defines the Gennadius Library.

A Rare Ottoman Edition Acquired by the Gennadius Library

The Gennadius Library has recently acquired a rare copy of a fine example of early Ottoman printing which exemplifies Konstantinos’s command of Ottoman Turkish and his contribution to Ottoman military engineering.

Η Γεννάδειος Βιβλιοθήκη συμμετέχει στον Περίπατο Βιβλίου, που θα πραγματοποιηθεί το Σάββατο 25 Απριλίου. Συμμετέχει στη δράση με την έκθεση «Γεννάδειος 100.
