ABSTRACT:

The inscription published here, Agora I 5162, derives from excavations of the Athenian Agora carried out in 1938. It can be securely dated to 330/29-329/8 B.C. Despite its damaged condition, the inscription provides valuable evidence regarding the leasing of lands and buildings on Delos and Rheneia, as well as the activities of appointed officials, some not previously known from Athenian documents. This inscription, the latest securely dated record of the Athenian administration of Delos, extends our knowledge of that administration by four years.
