Costume albums

A fine collection of costume books in the Gennadius Library date from the 15th to the 20th centuries. The portrayal of the costumes, in addition to the pleasure it offers to the eyes, forms also an excellent source on the customs, the everyday activities, and the social life in general of Greece from the Turkish conquest and after.
